(What else could I have named this? :o)

Illustration II, Assignment I: Show a picture of your hand doing or holding something that tells the viewer about you. (This one is from September, but I just remembered I had it laying around and folks here said they wanted to see some of my schoolwork.)

Watercolour, gouache, ink, dry pastel on Crescent 310 Cold Press Illustration Board. Original appx. 8" x 10".

It's supposed to be a "metaphor". My teacher has an unholy obsession with visualized metaphors. That's what happens when you minor in Literature in college. :o

That part took me forever. :O_o:

Layering thin washes of yellow to imitate the effect of the atmosphere on the paper.

Very nice!! I especially like the detail of the veins in the hand. Very cool touch.
