"Buy accessories for your Llama Badge"
"Buy a cake badge"
I have always been a proponent of the features and benefits that come with a
subscription Premium Membership (except for Critiques, but that's a whole other can of worms), but paying for badges seems a bit trite to me. Just going by first impressions. I understand dA needs to make money, but this just feels like they're pushing the MySpace side of dA a little too far.
In other news, why do art books have to be so expensive? Peter de Seve's new art book is $50, while The Art of How to Train Your Dragon retails for $40. That's $90... enough to by food for three weeks!
Stay classy, folks.

Try not to get too mad at DA for the whole badges thing - it's an added extra that some people may enjoy but really it has very little impact at the moment on everyday users. It's not like they force people to use them.
